Venus Lau & Rachel McClard
Co-producers and Writers
Venus & Rachel met over 10 years ago at Baylor University in Waco, Texas… yes, a very boring town that you hear weird things about in the news. After talking about their passion for TV and Film writing over adult beverages they struck an instant writing partnership and set off to visit Hollywood. They started writing their first screenplay as a team on that very rough road-trip — a few years later, moved to LA with Shepherd-mutt named Maxy and a ghetto-ass U-haul. Since living in LA, both of the women have gained industry experience working for production companies, studios, producers, and directors. They also sold the script “Teacher of the Year” to New Line Cinema. In addition to Water Signs, they are currently developing several webseries and feature scripts.
